È possibile usare la connettività Bluetooth anche con l’equipaggiamento “Telefonia Comfort”. Non è prevista la possibilità per lo stesso telefono di passare dalla modalità Bluetooth alla modalità della Telefonia Comfort e viceversa.

Some phones do not support direct sending of contact data directly via Bluetooth. You can transfer your contact data (vCards) of your iPhone using special apps (e.g. MCBackup, Contacts backup etc.) by email to your PC. Then save them on a compatible memory card and import them permanently to your COMAND-System.

Some phones may not process/send the DTMF tones via Bluetooth. Should this occur, DTMF tones can instead be selected using the Mobile Phone's keypad. Please observe State and Local laws regarding using Cell Phones while driving.

We continuously test most of the newly released phones from different manufacturers and service providers. A typical waiting period after a mobile is available is about 60-90 days to determine whether a phone is compatible with the MB Bluetooth system or not.

It's possible that a phone which is not listed may successfully pair with the MB Bluetooth, however, the connection and hands-free reliability cannot be guaranteed by Mercedes-Benz. Therefore we do not offer it as part of our compatible phone list.

Probably the sychronisation is deactivated. You will find this option at your IPhone under Settings, General, Bluetooth, select your Mercedes-Benz phone system ("MB Bluetooth" or "MBUX") and select "more". "Sync Contacts" has to be switched on.

No. Only one active cell phone can be connected to the vehicle by Bluetooth at a time. If more than one vehicle occupant has a Bluetooth cell phone, you can press and hold the MENU button to see which cell phone is currently connected. This is then displayed in the radio display. If the desired telephone is not connected, please switch off the Bluetooth function on the cell phone you do not wish to use. Each phone must be connected to the "CD Radio Bluetooth" or "CD Radio Bluetooth Convenience" and authorized once (pairing). (Follow the operating instructions.)

A lot of cell phones allow you to set the ringtone to mute or ascending (profile setting). Check the settings in the current profile. Mute or ascending should not be selected.

The access to the contacts has to be confirmed separately after the mobile is connected. Usually a popup or notification appears. Otherwise, please check the configuration for your vehicle in the Bluetooth list of your mobile phone.

Why are the contacts from my BlackBerry not shown?
The transfer of the contacts has to be approved, therefore uncheck the box "Include contacts" in the menu [options], [scurity], [encryption]. Check also that the transfer of the contacts in the Bluetooth menu is not deactivated to find in the menu [options], [Network] and [Connections], Bluetooth Connections, Options and select for the Contact transfer "All".

There is no possibility to extend the memory. You could select specific contact groups on your mobile phone to transfer only these groups. For more information how to create a group check your manual of your mobile phone.

Some mobile phones and telephone systems do not transmit those codes. In such cases those codes can only be entered at the mobile phone itself.

It may happen that your contacts contain a note field which includes some special characters which cause that two contacts are combined. This happens mostly while the mobile is synchronized with Outlook. Therefore, please delete those special characters in the note field in the contacts of your mobile phone.

On the WebSite a feature is supported, but in my case this does not work at all.
In certain cases apps can influence to the Bluetooth compatibility. Therefore, make sure no such app is running in background. Apps can be stopped in the application manager. Alternatively, reset the mobile phone to factory settings completely before testing.

La riproduzione musicale è disturbata ("salti" nella riproduzione, rumori di disturbo).
I disturbi possono avere le seguenti cause: 1. l'apparecchio telefonico è sovraccarico a causa di altre funzioni in corso, pertanto non è in grado di effettuare correttamente la riproduzione musicale. Chiudere se necessario gli altri programmi sul telefono. 2. Le interferenze con altre reti Bluetooth e con reti WLAN (WiFi) possono compromettere la riproduzione. Disattivare la WLAN e altre reti Bluetooth presenti nelle vicinanze. 3. Parallelamente alla riproduzione, l'apparecchio telefonico ricerca altri dispositivi Bluetooth. Chiudere il menu Bluetooth nell'apparecchio o disattivare la ricerca di altri dispositivi.

It could be that your Policy does not allow this. Further check if the device lock is activated since the mobile doesn't allow to access eMails if it is locked. If the device is unlocked it may take some time to unlock the device.

Some phones do not support direct sending of contact data via Bluetooth. You can transfer your contact data (vCards) of your mobile phone using special apps (e.g. MCBackup) by email to your PC. Then save them on a SD-card or USB-stick and import them permanently to your COMAND-System.

Perché Apple CarPlay™ non si avvia?
Questo può avere diverse cause. Verificare anzitutto che Apple CarPlay™ non sia disattivato sul proprio iPhone. Al momento, le impostazioni sull'iPhone si trovano in "Impostazioni" --> "Generali" --> "Restrizioni". Qui la voce "CarPlay" deve essere attivata. Si consiglia inoltre di rimuovere il collegamento via cavo dell'iPhone e di ricollegarlo. Può essere utile utilizzare anche un altro cavo. Una soluzione potrebbe inoltre essere un riavvio dell'iPhone. In casi rari è stato inoltre osservato che i cosiddetti "apparecchi gestiti" impediscono l'avvio di Apple CarPlay™. Questi sono spesso telefoni aziendali, messi a disposizione e preconfigurati dalla ditta. Su questi telefoni sono predefinite altre impostazioni, che non possono essere modificate dall'utente.

Incontro spesso problemi nell'uso di Apple CarPlay™ o di alcune applicazioni. Cosa posso fare?
In generale si consiglia di rimuovere il collegamento, riavviare l'iPhone e ricollegare l'apparecchio. Se il problema riguarda alcune app, talvolta può essere utile chiudere l'app sull'iPhone e riaprirla. Con Apple CarPlay™ o SIRI posso comandare le funzioni del veicolo?
No. Apple CarPlay™ non ha alcun accesso alle funzioni interne del veicolo. Tramite Apple CarPlay™ non è ad esempio possibile comandare l'autoradio o il climatizzatore. Allo stesso modo, Apple CarPlay™ non ha accesso alle funzioni di marcia del veicolo, pertanto non consente ad esempio di comandare il TEMPOMAT. Apple CarPlay™ è una tecnologia che è stata integrata nel veicolo per consentire al guidatore di accedere ai contenuti dell'iPhone durante la marcia e non per accedere alle funzioni del veicolo tramite l'iPhone.

Perché Android Auto™ non si avvia?
Questo può avere diverse cause. Tenere presente la seguente avvertenza generale: al primo avvio Android Auto™ non si avvia automaticamente. Maggiori informazioni al riguardo sono riportate nel manuale del proprio veicolo. Verificare dapprima che tutti i requisiti per l'utilizzo di Android Auto™ siano soddisfatti. Controllare la versione del sistema operativo e assicurarsi che non siano in corso o necessari aggiornamenti del sistema operativo e delle applicazioni installate. Si è rivelato utile anche scollegare l'apparecchio dal proprio sistema multimediale e poi ricollegarlo. Verificare inoltre che per l'apparecchio Android sia stata utilizzata la porta USB corretta. Può essere utile anche utilizzare un altro cavo.

In generale ho dei problemi con l'utilizzo di Android Auto™ o di alcune app. Cosa posso fare?
In linea di massima, raccomandiamo di interrompere il collegamento, riavviare il telefono Android e infine ricollegare l'apparecchio. Se il problema interessa singole app, può essere utile chiudere le app sul telefono Android e riaprirle. Si tenga presente che Mercedes-Benz non esercita alcuna influenza sul contenuto delle app, e ancora meno sulla rappresentazione di una app. Avvertenza importante: in molti Paesi è vietato l'uso del telefono Android durante la marcia. Il guidatore è responsabile per il rispetto delle leggi locali.

Che ruolo ha il sistema di comandi vocali di Google in Android Auto™?
Il sistema di comandi vocali di Google ha un ruolo centrale nell'uso di Android Auto™. Durante l'uso di Android Auto™ noterete che alcune app richiamano direttamente il sistema di comandi vocali di Google per ricercare contenuti in modo vocale. Con il tasto di comando vocale sempre disponibile all'interno del veicolo è possibile in qualunque momento comandare vocalmente Android Auto, nell'ambito delle funzioni messe a disposizione da Google. Questo consente di rimanere concentrati sul traffico stradale senza dover togliere le mani dal volante o distogliere lo sguardo dalla strada.

Per il funzionamento di Android Auto™ sono necessarie determinate informazioni del veicolo. Per poter utilizzare Android Auto™, prima del primo avvio di Android Auto™ occorre autorizzare l'inoltro dei dati al telefono Android. Mercedes-Benz tutela la vostra sfera privata e inoltra soltanto i dati necessari per il funzionamento ottimale di Android Auto™. Posso comandare le funzioni del veicolo con Android Auto™ o con il sistema di comandi vocali di Google?
No. Android Auto™ non ha accesso a funzioni interne del veicolo. Tramite Android Auto™ non è possibile ad esempio comandare l'autoradio o il climatizzatore. Analogamente, Android Auto™ non ha accesso alle funzioni di marcia del veicolo, come ad esempio il TEMPOMAT. Android Auto™ è una tecnologia che è stata integrata nel veicolo per consentire al guidatore di accedere ai contenuti del telefono Android durante la marcia, e non per accedere tramite il telefono Android alle funzioni del veicolo.

Android Auto™ può essere utilizzato parallelamente alle funzioni disponibili all'interno del mio veicolo?
In generale, sì. Durante il collegamento Android Auto™ attivo è possibile continuare ad accedere alle impostazioni del veicolo, all'autoradio e ad altre applicazioni dal sistema multimediale. In alcuni sistemi è tuttavia necessario disattivare determinate funzioni durante l'uso di Android Auto™.

Non riesco a ricevere i dati con il COMAND Online. Cosa posso fare?
Controllare se il proprio telefono è abilitato per l'utilizzo in combinazione con il COMAND Online (Internet). Inoltre è necessario avere un contratto che prevede l'opzione dati. Il provider deve infine consentire l'utilizzo del "Tethering", ovvero il collegamento a Internet tramite telefono.

Il mio Blackberry non riesce a collegarsi al COMAND Online sebbene venga visualizzato nell'elenco dei telefoni. Cosa posso fare?
Se il vostro Blackberry è stato attivato per l'uso professionale (viene utilizzato nell'ambito dell'azienda), l'accesso Internet può essere stato bloccato dal vostro amministratore. Controllare in "Bluetooth" -> "Opzioni" -> se il profilo "Collegamento remoto alla rete" è disponibile e attivato. In caso contrario contattate il vostro amministratore.

La Mercedes-Benz stessa provvede all'aggiornamento dell'elenco. L'elenco può essere scaricato dalla nostra pagina web per aggiornare il vostro COMAND.

Durante la conversazione telefonica non riesco a utilizzare i servizi Internet nel COMAND. Cosa posso fare?
L'utilizzo contemporaneo dei servizi di trasmissione voce e dati dipende dal telefono e dalla rete che opera la connessione. Requisito di base è la presenza di un segnale e di una rete 3G (UMTS). Ciò può variare a seconda del provider e delle condizioni ambientali. Controllare le indicazioni visualizzate sul telefono.

Durante l'utilizzo di Internet con il COMAND Online le chiamate in arrivo non vengono segnalate.
La segnalazione delle chiamate vocali dipende dalla rete di telefonia mobile attualmente utilizzata. Nelle reti 3G (UMTS) la segnalazione è assicurata pressoché in qualsiasi caso mentre nelle reti 2G (GMS/EDGE) la segnalazione non viene garantita.

The internet dial in fails, I'm using a BlackBerry OS 4.xx or OS 5.xx. What can I do?
Try to change the "DNS Address" in the dial in settings of your Provider at your Mercedes-Benz carkit. Change it from automatic to manual but leave all parameters like they are.

The dial in is not possible using my Blackberry. A message "required profile is not supported" is shown. What can I do?
Check the Bluetooth settings of your mobile regarding DUN (dial Up Network). If DUN is not active, activate this setting. Mercedes-Benz suggest to remove the batterie and restart the mobile again after this setting is changed. Further deauthorise and authorise it again at your telephone system.

Is it possible to use my Android mobile with COMAND Online?
For some vehicles and Android phones it is necessary to install a third-party app like BlueDUN which is downloadable in your Google PlayStore. A freeware version of this app is available, too. Please deauthorise the mobile after installing the app and authorise it again.

Why is it not possible to access the Internet using my iPhone?
It could be that your Provider does not allow "tethering", means to use your mobile as a modem. For more Information contact your provider.
